A little bit about me...

Hello! I'm Kirsten Mullin, RMT

Welcome!

I am a Registered Massage Therapist serving the Barrie area. Since graduating from Elmcrest College of Applied Health Sciences in 2005, I have been practicing for nearly 25 years in clinical settings. My educational background includes studies in Kinesiology and Health Sciences at York University. I am registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and an active member of the Registered Massage Therapists' Association of Ontario.

My interest in healthcare began during my active participation in various sports, particularly track and field and Karate. While training for my Black belt, I experienced injuries and discovered the benefits of Massage Therapy. At the age of 13, my Therapist introduced me to the diverse treatments and potential of massage therapy.

Continual learning and skill enhancement have been essential throughout my career. I have pursued advanced training and certifications in areas such as Myofascial Release, Orthopaedic Assessments, Low Back & Common Injuries assessment & treatment, Advanced Anatomy Studies with Cadaver Specimens, Therapeutic Cupping Therapy, Reiki Level 1, Cranio-Sacral foundations, and MPS Scar Release Therapy, among others.

I thoroughly enjoy providing treatment for all types of conditions. My passion lies in Cesarean Section Scar Massage & Rehabilitation, Postpartum Recovery & Core and Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation, Pregnancy Massage, as well as Child and Infant Massage. I am dedicated to supporting postpartum individuals in receiving the essential care, support, and rehabilitation they need after giving birth.

In my treatments, I adopt a strong hands-on approach with an emphasis on myofascial work & release, Swedish massage techniques, trigger point release, joint manipulations, static stretching, scar tissue release, remedial exercise prescription, and core & pelvic floor rehab, along with the use of cupping therapy, fascial tools & MPS Therapy.

Beyond the clinic, I cherish my roles as a wife and a mother to a wonderful young boy. I find joy in spending time at home with my family, engaging in creative activities like sewing, crafting, gardening, and baking. I prioritize staying active through yoga, meditation, spinning, weight lifting, and connecting with nature outdoors.

Looking ahead, my clinical aspirations include expanding my knowledge and skills to provide diverse postpartum rehabilitation, care, and support. I am committed to raising awareness about Cesarean births, scar healing, and rehabilitation. I am excited about the future!

I look forward to seeing you on my treatment table!
